Michele Salotti conducted his piano studies in Milan, graduating under the guidance of Ettore Borri. Also in Milan he graduated in law. He worked as a teacher of music theory at the Music School of Milan, where he also worked as an accompanying pianist in the classes of stage art and opera singing. He has always cultivated a particular interest in learning about the Baroque chamber repertoire and the practice of the harpsichord, performing both in Italy and abroad as a member of various groups including the Milan Ensemble, Berliner Barockensemble, Archilegio, Ensemble Archè Barocca. For some years now he has been studying the harpsichord under the guidance of Maestro Ottaviano Tenerani at the Bonamici School of Pisa, then at the Giuseppe Gherardeschi International Organ Academy of Pistoia. In March and April 2017 he performed the entire French Suites as part of the Bach 2017 Festival program organized in Siena by the I.S.S.M. "Rinaldo Franci" and at the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence.
